Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Hagleys Group is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030. This commitment will be supported by working towards accreditation with Investors in the Environment and reducing resource use across high impact areas.

Baseline emissions footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced by the organisation prior to the introduction of any reduction strategies, and therefore the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations:

No previous reporting of emissions as this is our first baseline report.

Source of those emissions included in this 2023 baseline report came from:

Scope 1 : Gas

Scope 2: Electricity, Heating

Emission by categories: –

Due to the small size of the organisation, we have a very lean operation team.

Up until March 2020, we used to have an office where staff members used to work.

Since April 2020 we have allowed almost all staff members to work from home.

We occupy a large meeting/classroom room in our current premises which is used rarely as most classes have been virtual; thereby making our carbon footprint very minimal.

Company carbon reduction measures

In order to continue to progress to achieving Net Zero, we will continue to follow our digital & hybrid learning more, continue using energy efficient means within our offices, encourage remote working for administrative and support staff, use cloud solutions, encourage staff of the benefits of electric vehicles, transition into a paperless operations business and upskill staff training on sustainability and its benefits.

By integrating these strategies, we can progressively reduce our carbon measures.
